About the Role

Join Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and contribute to projects that support national security. As an Undergraduate Intern in the Materials Engineering Division, you will work on projects spanning electrical, mechanical, optical, and material sciences among other related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and research support for diverse engineering projects.
  • Gather and analyze data to support scientific research.
  • Present research results and document technical work.
  • Attend seminars and participate in collaborative team efforts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned under close supervision.

Qualifications

Candidates must be current undergraduate students in engineering, physics, material science, or related fields with the ability to apply basic scientific principles. Good communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and eligibility under Section 3112 of the NDAA are required.

Desirable Attributes

GPA of 3.0 or above and effective interpersonal skills.
