About UI/UX Designer at Law School Admission Council

LSAC’s mission is to advance law and justice by promoting access, equity, and fairness in law school admission and supporting the learning journey from prelaw through practice.

Job Role Overview

The UI/UX Designer will guide the development of user-friendly digital experiences within the LSAC ecosystem. You will be responsible for creating design concepts, mockups, and prototypes, ensuring products are both visually appealing and user-friendly while following accessibility best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Employ a user-centric approach to design digital experiences.
  • Maintain consistent design principles across products.
  • Create wireframes, visual design mockups, flow diagrams, and interactive prototypes.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product owners, and stakeholders to meet product vision.
  • Implement responsive design for optimal experience on various devices.
  • Design navigation menus, search boxes, tabs, and widgets.
  • Incorporate universal design and accessibility standards.
  • Work with front-end teams to ensure design implementation.
  • Contribute to evolving design systems ensuring visual consistency and accessibility.
  • Analyze customer responses and website data for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with user researchers for testing and feedback integration.

Competencies & Qualifications

The ideal candidate possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, a robust portfolio, and at least 5 years of UI/UX design experience. You should have advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and basic front-end technologies along with a strong focus on accessibility standards including WCAG and ARIA.

Additional Information

This role operates in a remote professional office environment. While standard LSAC business hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. ET, flexibility is required. Occasional travel may be necessary to lead design sessions and take part in user research activities.
