About the Role: Senior Release Manager
In this role, you will coordinate the critical process of moving releases from development to production. You will manage release-related risks and collaborate closely with engineering and QA teams to ensure quality, compliance, and regulatory standards are met for all production deployments.
About the Team
You will be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking team at LastPass that plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and security of our product releases. The Release Management team works closely with engineering, QA, and product teams to streamline delivery processes, uphold compliance standards, and continuously improve release workflows. We value open communication, shared ownership, and a proactive mindset to tackle challenges at scale.

Who will you work with?
You will work with other release managers and with people across the engineering organization to make sure releases are timely and successful. You will engage with test and QA to validate release readiness, and with development engineering to confirm success after release.
Exciting Challenges
- Coordinate and oversee all efforts related to releases across the LastPass offering
- Plan and manage production changes, defining what, when, and how releases occur
- Implement risk management strategies to minimize the impact of individual releases
- Collaborate with other Release Managers to manage dependencies between product releases
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure quality gates and compliance with organizational standards
- Ensure all release flows meet compliance requirements (e.g., SOC2, IRAP)
- Monitor and measure release progress, identifying areas for improvement
- Create, deploy, validate, and administer release packages
- Continuously improve release processes and user experience through innovation and expertise
- Maintain internal technical documentation and mentor junior team members
What does it take to work at LastPass?
- Background in computer science, engineering, science, or a related field
- Proven experience in software development
- Strong understanding of release and delivery management best practices
- Experience with CI/CD, build and release management
- Familiarity with tools such as Git/Bitbucket, GitLab CI, Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus
- Ability to solve complex problems independently
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
- Experience with version control and issue tracking systems (e.g., Git, JIRA)
- Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
