About the Role: Senior Cloud & DevOps Consultant
Our client, a distinguished consulting firm celebrated for its proficiency in digital transformation and cloud innovation, is actively seeking a Senior Cloud & DevOps Consultant. This pivotal role involves supporting the modernization and optimization of client IT environments, driving significant technological evolution.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise across cloud strategy, application modernization, DevOps transformation, analytics, and artificial intelligence, complemented by sharp business acumen. As a strategic partner, you will empower organizations to innovate, foster growth, and enhance operational performance through the implementation of modern, proven technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support clients in modernizing their IT infrastructure and software development practices.
- Provide expert consulting services utilizing Microsoft Azure, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and various open-source solutions.
- Lead critical engagements in one or more of the following specialized areas:
- Cloud Strategy & Governance: Define robust cloud migration and adoption strategies, implement effective governance frameworks, and establish containerization approaches.
- Innovation & Application Modernization: Analyze intricate application portfolios, design cutting-edge modern architectures, and oversee application development and containerization initiatives.
- Modern Engineering / DevOps: Champion DevOps and Agile transformations, modernize engineering practices, and optimize CI/CD toolchains.
- Analytics & Artificial Intelligence (AI): Develop comprehensive AI adoption strategies, design advanced analytics architectures, and deploy data and AI pipelines into production.
- Serve as a technical and strategic leader, analyzing processes, designing innovative solutions, defining robust architectures, leading complex projects, and ensuring successful deployment and operationalization.
- Mentor and coach client teams, fostering skill development throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Actively participate in pre-sales activities, including proposal writing, statement of work (SOW) development, and project estimations.
- Contribute to various internal initiatives when not engaged in client projects, such as:
- Business development activities (e.g., webinars, demos, presentations, blog posts).
- Internal projects (e.g., development of new service offerings, tools, or internal training modules).
- Professional development (e.g., certifications, technology watch, continuous improvement).
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Over 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years specifically in consulting, strategy, or IT transformation roles.
- Demonstrated strong expertise in Azure cloud and the broader DevOps ecosystem, including Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proven track record in digital transformation, application modernization, or successful cloud migration projects.
- Excellent understanding and practical application of Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Exceptional ability to simplify complex technical concepts and effectively influence business stakeholders.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer Expert) are considered a significant asset.
