About the Senior Controls Engineer Role

We’re seeking a full-time controls engineer to join our expanding team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, programming, and management of automation projects in the pharmaceutical and food & beverage industries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design of automation projects including control panels, networks, and software using Allen-Bradley PLC/PACs and Factorytalk View ME/SE for HMI and SCADA.
  • Develop detailed construction packages with equipment arrangements, schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
  • Mentor and supervise project team members to enhance collaboration and execution.
  • Provide lifecycle support including system design, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning.
  • Perform site surveys and support installations focusing on control system deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with UL508A, NEC codes, and relevant standards.
  • Engage in diverse projects to enhance engineering and project management skills.
  • Travel as needed, with initial site visits and subsequent commissioning trips.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in control systems, manufacturing, or consulting-design environments.
  • Proficient in automation project design, client coordination, and bid package preparation.
  • Strong skills in control panel design, network planning, instrument selection, and control system programming.
  • Experience with AutoCAD for electrical construction packages.
  • Hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation software including Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000 and FactoryTalk View ME/SE.
