What We Do
The Pensions Management Consulting (PMC) practice, based in London, provides a wide range of consultancy services for pension schemes of all types, advising both trustee and corporate clients. We focus on delivering high quality, tailored services by working closely with our clients to ensure optimal operation of their pension schemes.
Our Team & Culture
A diverse and inclusive team of 26 staff members and partners, known for drive, energy, and enthusiasm. Our backgrounds include pensions administration, actuarial, in-house roles, legal and governance. We emphasize investment and development of our staff.
Key Services & Activities
- Manage and run pension schemes effectively, including trustee secretarial duties.
- Advise on best practices and governance, including regulatory compliance.
- Design and lead bespoke procurement and trustee selection exercises.
- Project manage varied projects for clients and the wider pensions industry.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
Role Responsibilities
- Deliver trustee secretarial support across the department.
- Take individual named Trustee Secretary appointments.
- Develop LCP’s governance services and advise on regulatory best practices.
- Manage standalone project support including adviser procurement.
- Participate in new business tenders, pitches and marketing of PMC services.
- Provide in-house support in various capacities.
- Manage own workload and client relationships.
- Contribute to the development and mentoring of junior staff.
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in pensions consulting, in-house or consultancy.
- Proficiency in organising trustee meetings, drafting agendas, and producing meeting documents.
- Experience in managing trustee exercises, risk registers, regulatory bodies and audit processes.
- Project and change management skills with strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication skills and experience delivering presentations.
- Professional pensions qualification (APMI, FPMI) is preferred.
