About The Role

Lambda is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Cloud Support Engineer I to join our frontline support team at Lambda. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, managing incoming support requests, triaging issues, and ensuring accurate and empathetic communication.

Schedule

This position operates on a 24/7 coverage model with these shifts:

  • If hired outside California: Sunday - Wednesday, 8AM-6PM Central Time
  • If hired in California: Sunday - Thursday, 7AM-4PM Pacific Time

What You’ll Do

  • Be the initial technical support contact for customer inquiries.
  • Troubleshoot OS, hardware, and Lambda Stack issues.
  • Triage, route, and escalate tickets while maintaining communication.
  • Assist with incident response by identifying common patterns.
  • Document solutions and provide feedback to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with peers to share knowledge and support customers.

You

  • Have working knowledge of Linux (preferably Ubuntu).
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, multi-interaction environments.
  • Are detail-oriented and committed to accurate triage and documentation.
  • Value teamwork and a customer-first mindset.
  • Preferably have familiarity with GPU hardware or workloads.

Nice to Have

  • Professional Linux administration in various environments.
  • Experience with private/hybrid clouds like Azure, AWS, or OCI.
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools.
  • Scripting skills in Shell or Python.
  • Experience with data center hardware and ticketing systems.
  • Prior exposure to 24/7 support operations.
