As a Mechanical Engineer at Lam Research, you're designing and defining cutting-edge mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. Your role involves feasibility studies, testing, and guiding teams in detailed design and fabrication. You provide the crucial design information needed to shape our technology's packaging.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will directly contribute to the innovation and development of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This includes leading mechanical design projects, performing complex engineering analysis, overseeing prototype construction and testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems into final products. You will also be responsible for documenting design specifications and ensuring product reliability and performance.
Who we’re looking for
We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Mechanical Engineer with a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology in the semiconductor space. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a collaborative spirit, and a proven track record in complex system design.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 12+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 8+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Semiconductor industry experience is not required, but a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in CAD software, FEA analysis, and DFM principles.
- Experience with electromechanical systems and precision engineering.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and project leadership experience.
