Overview

The Sr Director Head Of Data & Analytics will lead data and analytics strategy in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech sector. This role offers significant visibility, growth, and impact while driving outcomes for customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define a multi-year strategy for data and analytics aligned with business goals.
• Establish architectural principles for centralized and domain data products.
• Drive the company’s transition to a federated or data mesh model.
• Integrate Generative AI into data platforms for enhanced insights.
• Design and operate enterprise data platforms for analytics, reporting, and AI applications.
• Ensure reliable, secure, and scalable platform capabilities.
• Oversee end-to-end data delivery from request through production.
• Partner with business leaders to define impactful success metrics.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics platforms.
• 5+ years leading data engineering or data platform organizations.
• Experience with Generative AI and LLMs in data platforms.
• Expertise in building unstructured vector stores and RAG solutions.
• Knowledge of data mesh architectures and domain-oriented data platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud data platforms and analytics ecosystems.
• Experience in regulated environments with governance requirements.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
