For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer II to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a healthcare environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities

Design and implement medium-complexity, scalable solutions
Create clear technical design documents to guide implementation
Write modular, reusable, and testable code while ensuring testing standards are met
Provide constructive code review feedback focusing on quality and coverage
Manage technical debt by proposing fixes and prioritizing work
Engage in product discovery to validate user needs with prototypes
Collaborate with engineers to ensure seamless integration of systems
Set up basic observability for systems and resolve minor issues
Break down projects into tasks and drive them through to delivery
Analyze user feedback and performance metrics to drive improvements
Document technical processes and systems developed
Assist in the hiring process and mentor new team members

Qualifications

3+ years as a software engineer with production experience
Background in distributed systems and microservices
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience
Experience in scalable web applications, ideally in cloud environments
Proficient in Kubernetes, AWS, and front-end/back-end technologies (e.g., React, Node.js)
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Familiarity with agile development and CI/CD practices
