For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer II to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities
- Design and implement medium-complexity, scalable solutions
- Create clear technical design documents to guide implementation
- Write modular, reusable, and testable code while ensuring testing standards are met
- Provide constructive code review feedback focusing on quality and coverage
- Manage technical debt by proposing fixes and prioritizing work
- Engage in product discovery to validate user needs with prototypes
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure seamless integration of systems
- Set up basic observability for systems and resolve minor issues
- Break down projects into tasks and drive them through to delivery
- Analyze user feedback and performance metrics to drive improvements
- Document technical processes and systems developed
- Assist in the hiring process and mentor new team members
- 3+ years as a software engineer with production experience
- Background in distributed systems and microservices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience
- Experience in scalable web applications, ideally in cloud environments
- Proficient in Kubernetes, AWS, and front-end/back-end technologies (e.g., React, Node.js)
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with agile development and CI/CD practices
