Nuclear Structural Engineering Consultant
Our client, a leader in the Energy & Utilities space, is seeking a Structural Engineering Consultant 2 - Nuclear to join their team. This role involves leading technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and business transformation within the Energy & Utilities sector. You will collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. Responsibilities
- Lead and guide a team of structural engineers.
- Interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients.
- Prepare and review design calculations and specifications.
- Develop and oversee drawing development alongside designers.
- Guide structural analysis and design of steel and concrete structures.
- Travel to client and vendor offices for reviews and site coordination.
Qualifications
- BSCE with emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Ten years or more of experience in design and analysis of heavy commercial or nuclear facility structures.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD, SAP2000).
- Familiarity with design codes and standards (e.g., ASCE 7, AISC).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- PE or SE license.
