For our client, we are seeking a Director Of Data Science Credit Risk to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $185,000 – $219,000 annually

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and deployment of innovative machine learning models
Collaborate with business and technical leaders to identify new data sources
Enhance modeling methodologies with a focus on sound risk management
Drive practical solutions to improve financial outcomes for customers
Manage cross-functional projects to support business objectives

Qualifications

5-7 years of experience in data science applied to credit risk management
Proven track record of leading teams and driving clear project goals
Ability to mentor and develop team members effectively
Strong communication skills for conveying a vision in data science
Experience with deploying and managing machine learning models in production
Proficient in software engineering fundamentals and the PyData stack
