Senior Analytics Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will turn data into practical insight that improves visibility, decision-making, and business performance. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $126,000 – $180,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data warehousing and reporting solutions
• Create scalable dimensional data models for data warehousing and BI
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into insights
• Analyze data to provide actionable insights for stakeholders
• Conduct root cause analysis and resolve data issues
• Establish automated data quality checks and validation frameworks
• Optimize SQL transformations and data models
• Research and innovate new tools to enhance data processes
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar roles
• Strong experience in designing dimensional data models for enterprise data warehouses
• Proficient in building and maintaining data transformation pipelines
• Experienced in developing analytics and BI solutions using platforms like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
• Advanced SQL skills; proficiency in Python for data tasks preferred
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable models
• Familiarity with modern data frameworks such as dbt
