About the Role
The Category Leadership Advisor is a customer-facing role supporting the National Accounts Area sales team by developing and presenting category strategies to ensure optimal in-store product placement and focus.
Responsibilities
- Analyze syndicated data (Circana, Symphony, etc.) for business recommendations.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with Customer Category Managers.
- Conduct assortment assessments and create planograms.
- Integrate consumer, shopper, and retailer insights to drive strategies.
- Develop customer-specific selling stories for key initiatives.
- Lead broader space initiatives across aisles and stores.
- Partner with Customer Business Leads on new item presentations.
- Train customer teams on sales information and analytic tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years in the consumer packaged goods industry.
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills.
- Experience with syndicated data and panel data.
- Proficiency with space management software and Microsoft Office.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
