Job Description
About the Role
As a Desktop Support Specialist at Laabdhi Outsource India Services Pvt. Ltd., your primary purpose is to provide essential IT support to clients and users, addressing both hardware and software issues. This role involves offering on-site or remote technical assistance, including the setup of computer hardware systems, installation and upgrading of software, and comprehensive troubleshooting of basic IT problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level hardware support for end users.
- Perform desktop hardware troubleshooting, manage virus issues, and update Antivirus software for Desktops/Laptops.
- Execute desktop imaging for both Windows and Mac devices.
- Handle installation and configuration of e-mail clients, including MS Outlook setup, backup, restore, and troubleshooting.
- Manage Remote Desktop and TeamViewer connections for support.
- Install printer drivers and troubleshoot shared folders, devices, and printers.
- Demonstrate strong skills in hardware assembling and troubleshooting.
- Manage ticketing systems efficiently to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met.
- Troubleshoot basic network-related problems, including TCP/IP configuration, Internet maintenance, cabling, patching, and LAN issues.
Mandatory Skills
- Basic knowledge of network and servers.
- Proficiency in Active Directory and Group Policy Objects.
- Experience in administering Office 365.
- Experience in administering AWS Workspaces.
- Knowledge of network installation, including configuring routers or switches (an added advantage).
- Server installation knowledge is beneficial, and Active Directory experience is highly valued, especially for migration tasks.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
