About the Role
The LA28 Commercial Hospitality team is leading a modernized approach to Olympic and Paralympic hospitality, providing unparalleled access to once-in-a-lifetime experiences for stakeholders and fans. In partnership with On Location, LA28’s Official Hospitality Provider, the team is responsible for delivering a commercial hospitality strategy that aligns operational excellence with revenue objectives.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Hospitality Operations & Event Production, the Manager, Hospitality Operations & Production will oversee venue-specific hospitality production within Olympic and Paralympic venues. This position will be responsible for executing key production and delivery components of in-venue hospitality (IVH), including oversight of hospitality builds, vendor coordination, budget management, and onsite delivery support. Serving as a critical liaison, the Manager will align On Location’s hospitality delivery plans with LA28’s internal functional areas, including Venue Infrastructure, Event Venue Management, Security, Procurement, and other key stakeholders. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, project management, budget ownership, and experience delivering complex venue environments and live event execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to identify risks, resolve constraints, and drive decisions that enable venue delivery.
- Partner with On Location to validate venue-based hospitality delivery plans, ensuring they are executable within venue constraints and operational requirements.
- Liaise with Event Venue Management (EVM) and Venue Infrastructure (VNI) teams to integrate hospitality space planning with venue operations and venue delivery requirements.
- Oversee the production process for venues requiring temporary hospitality builds, ensuring scope is defined, decisions are documented, and delivery is aligned to venue requirements.
- Drive alignment with Procurement and Venue Infrastructure teams on cost responsibility and what is included within LA28-delivered scope vs. partner delivered scope.
- Coordinate with On Location and internal partners to support required approvals and enable clear handoffs between design development, procurement, and venue delivery.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to manage onsite challenges and venue constraints impacting hospitality operations.
- Facilitate real-time decision-making during the Games to address challenges efficiently and effectively.
- Own operational plans for a set of venues within the Hospitality scope, documenting end-to-end plans for seamless execution in partnership with On Location.
- Provide regular production updates, reporting, and key deliverables to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation and trackers to support budget visibility, cost responsibility clarity, and cross-functional alignment.
