About The Quality Assurance Analyst Role
The Quality Assurance Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring L3Harris WESCAM's products and processes meet rigorous quality standards, specifically focusing on weekend shift operations. This position involves active participation in internal and external audits, maintenance of the Quality Management System, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the preparation and assessment of company compliance against AS9100D and customer-specific requirements for internal and external audits.
- Support the maintenance and continuity of the Quality Management System, performing internal Layer Process Audits related to Business Process Management system (BPMS).
- Lead and adhere to various quality assurance processes like Material Review Board (MRB) and Containment activities.
- Utilize quality tools and risk-based thinking to improve accuracy and remove ambiguity from business and quality management systems for continuous improvement.
- Compile and analyze quality performance data, developing graphs, charts, and quality reports to track QMS Metrics.
- Remain current on industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements affecting the QMS.
- Perform inspections, tests, and/or audits of purchased parts, units, materials, equipment, panel/module level assemblies, and quality control programs to specifications.
- Interpret manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications, and lists to approve or reject units, test setups, or systems for in-process or final assemblies.
- Use visual inspection and precise dimensional measurement methods as applicable, determining or assisting in determining necessary inspection methods and procedures.
- Consult and communicate with cross-functional teams regarding quality matters, delivering nonconformity information and supporting root cause corrective action analysis.
- Provide mentorship and coaching on quality management system related matters and prepare training materials to support training initiatives.

- Process-oriented mindset and auditing capacity.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Desired Education And Experiences
- Requires broad theoretical job knowledge.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post Secondary/Associate Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality inspection methods, and configuration management.
- Experience using Power BI for data analytics.
- Lean certificate or Green Belt an asset.
- Experienced working with cross-functional teams.
- ASQ Certified Quality Assurance technician an asset.
- GD&T training.
