Overview

Project & Component Engineering Intern at L3Harris Technologies provides a summer internship opportunity for students in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. Role & Responsibilities

Interns will perform entry-level engineering tasks, support senior staff, and gain hands-on experience in:

  • Assisting in the design and development of rocket propulsion hardware
  • Providing technical support on combustion devices, turbopumps, valves, and actuators
  • Working effectively as part of a team
  • Contributing to projects for space exploration and defense

Internship Details

The summer internship is set to begin around May/June and end in August/September. Interns will gain exposure to real engineering projects including work on NASA’s SLS, Lockheed Martin’s THAAD, and other high-profile initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a similar field, and must return to school after the internship.

Additional Information

L3Harris Technologies offers a competitive hourly rate ($25/hr - $47.50/hr) along with benefits such as relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays. This internship is for U.S. citizens who can obtain a security clearance.
