The Role

The M365 SharePoint Online Engineer is a hands-on Infrastructure Specialist. You will be a subject matter expert in SharePoint Online, guiding implementation, automation, and migrations in a multi-GEO enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and adoption of new SharePoint Online features.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and Power Automate flows.
• Design and manage SharePoint site architecture, permissions and governance.
• Monitor and optimize performance, storage, and compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver customized solutions.
• Manage SharePoint migrations, content restructuring and metadata enrichment.
• Provide Tier 3 support and integration with other M365 services.
• Document configurations, scripts, and governance models.
• Conduct training and enablement sessions for users.

Core SharePoint Admin Engineering Tasks

• Site Collection Management and Advanced Management.
• Permissions & Security and external sharing policies.
• Content Types & Metadata customizations.
• Automation via PowerShell, Power Automate and API integrations.
• Monitoring & Reporting through analytics and compliance tracking.
• Search Configuration and customization using SPFx and PnP templates.
• Hub Sites & Navigation structuring.
• Retention & Compliance implementation.
• Customization with branding and design alignment.
• Roadmap Alignment with Microsoft 365 feature updates.

AI & Agent Enablement Responsibilities

• Design and deploy SharePoint Agents for content discovery automation.
• Develop Power Platform Agents for business process support.
• Integrate AI assistants within SharePoint and Teams.
• Utilize Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI Builder for document processing.
• Create and manage agent files ensuring compliance and governance.
• Collaborate on opportunities for AI-driven automation.
• Implement AI-powered authoring tools to build engaging intranet pages.
• Leverage Power Automate for complex workflows related to approvals and notifications.
• Monitor agent performance and ensure continuous improvement.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies in the Microsoft ecosystem.

Who You Are

You have proven experience in SharePoint Online and M365 administration, coupled with strong automation skills. You are customer-focused, growth oriented and inclusive in your teamwork.

Recommended Experience and Certifications

Experience with SharePoint migrations, PowerShell, Power Automate, Microsoft Graph API, and Agile/DevOps environments. Certifications such as SharePoint Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert, Power Platform Fundamentals, and others are recommended.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and strong analytical skills are a plus.
