The Role
As a Google Cloud Engineer, you will be part of a specialized team focused on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), working in critical and highly scalable environments. Your mission will be to design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions for multiple clients, ensuring the availability, security, and efficiency of their platforms. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and DevOps teams to drive automation and best practices in the cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy infrastructure in GCP using IaC tools like Terraform.
- Automate processes and tasks through Python scripting and DevOps/GitOps practices.
- Manage multi-client environments, ensuring compliance with standards and SLAs.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure and efficient deployments.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, security, and availability of cloud solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure service continuity.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams, providing technical expertise and resolving complex incidents.
- Stay updated on cloud certifications and trends, proposing continuous improvements.
Who You Are
Experience and Education:
- Demonstrable minimum experience of 2 years in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
- Official certification in GCP (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer or higher).
- Solid technical background in infrastructure and automation.
Essential Technical Knowledge:
- Terraform for IaC (Infrastructure as Code).
- Python for scripting and automation.
- DevOps and GitOps principles and practices.
- Repository management and workflows with Git.
- Professional English (oral and written).
Availability:
- Ability to perform on-call duties as scheduled.
Valuable Competencies
- Experience in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Knowledge of other cloud providers (AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Good security practices in cloud environments.
