About the Cloud Architect Role

At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize mission-critical technology systems. As a Cloud Architect, you lead technical solutions from concept to delivery, working with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define roadmaps for VMware-based hybrid and multi-cloud adoption.
  • Lead architecture governance, technology evaluations, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
  • Consult with clients and offer strategic guidance on cloud solutions.
  • Architect and implement scalable, secure VMware cloud solutions (VCF, vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, Aria Suite).
  • Develop blueprints, reference architectures, and automation workflows.
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and optimal system performance.
  • Mentor engineering and operational teams and influence technology strategy.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 10-12 years in VMware virtualization and cloud technologies.
  • 5+ years in an architect-level role with hands-on VMware Cloud Foundation deployment.
  • Expertise in vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, and VMware Aria Suite.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and PowerCLI.
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
