The Role
Infrastructure Architects are the key link between Kyndryl and our clients. You’re in a technical leadership role, uniting and guiding stakeholders from clients, governance, and project executives to delivery and sometimes even the vendors who work with the client. You’ll be there from the start of a project — understanding what’s needed and figuring out the best technical solution. And you’ll be there at the finish, delivering the right product on time and within budget.
As an Infrastructure Architect, you’ll draw upon the full breadth of your talent and experience. This is a technical leadership role, so we want you to bring your vision, knowledge, and leadership to each project. To the client, you’re the subject matter expert – consulting early, gathering inputs, understanding what they need from our solution. You define what Kyndryl can do to meet this solution. You design the best solution for the job. And finally, you’re the tech leader for implementation.
Responsibilities
- Execute migrations, GCVE validation
- Architect and design advanced cloud solutions on GCP, including modernization strategies and migration of on‑premises workloads to cloud environments.
- Define and own architecture for GKE, Anthos, and GCVE‑aligned solutions, guiding hybrid and cloud‑native transformation initiatives.
- Enforce industry best practices for cloud security, governance, data protection, backup policies, and user management across all architectures.
- Lead Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
- Perform periodic architecture reviews and recommend enhancements for performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Act as a technical liaison between customers, cloud engineering teams, and vendor support to ensure seamless solution delivery.
- Support SMEs during critical incidents by providing deep technical expertise as needed.
- Document customer environments, technical frameworks, workflows, and maintain updated architectural blueprints after reviews.
- Deliver internal training on new cloud services, features, and use cases to strengthen team capability and cloud maturity.
- Drive performance monitoring, optimization, and cloud governance to ensure well‑architected deployments.
- Provide ongoing technical leadership, establish best practices, and ensure adoption of modern architecture principles.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
- 8+ years of overall IT experience
- 2+ years hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Design and implement enterprise‑grade GCP architectures covering compute, storage, networking, and security
- Define and govern multi‑tier, highly available, and scalable cloud architecture
- Architect GCP Landing Zones aligned with security, compliance, and organizational standards
- Lead cloud‑native application architecture using microservices and container‑based patterns
- Enable CI/CD pipelines and automation using DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
- Collaborate with development teams on Cloud Developer / DevOps best practices
- Contribute to emerging Agentic AI use cases and cloud‑based intelligent automation initiatives
- Act as a trusted technical advisor for stakeholders, customers, and delivery teams
- Produce architecture blueprints, HLDs/LLDs, governance models, and best‑practice documentation
