Position Overview
The Automotive Instructor will deliver short-term Foundation and Apprenticeship training in automotive service technology. The role includes classroom teaching, project management, hands-on training in a fully functional automotive shop, curriculum familiarization, and exam preparation.
- Deliver automotive training in classroom and shop.
- Manage project instructions and curriculum delivery.
- Utilize online training management system.
- Engage independently with students and mark assessments.
- Comply with KPU Faculty Collective Agreement conditions.
Faculty Overview & Requirements
This part-time, on-call position is ideal for an automotive service technician with at least five years’ diverse experience, holding a BC or out-of-province Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate of Qualification. Prior instructional experience is an asset.
