Role Overview: UX/UI Designer

kuubiik's client, a software consultant based in the US (EST timezone), is seeking a talented Part-Time UX/UI Designer. This role, approximately 24-32 hours per week for a 1-year renewable contract, focuses on delivering exceptional visual design with foundational UX knowledge and strong client communication skills. Experience in print, branding, and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) is a valuable bonus.

What You'll Do

  • Ship High-Fidelity UI in Figma: Create components, variants, design tokens, prototypes, and contribute to design systems.
  • Design Responsive Product UIs: Develop user interfaces and conversion-focused marketing/landing pages that are fully responsive.
  • Perform Light UX Activities: Conduct user flows, wireframing, and quick tests, iterating designs based on feedback and data.
  • Client Engagement: Present designs to clients, facilitate workshops, and effectively manage feedback cycles.
  • Secondary Responsibilities: Engage in branding, visual identity, brochure design, print assets, and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) by analyzing funnels and proposing A/B tests.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience: 3+ years in UI design, demonstrating outstanding visual craft, typography, and layout skills.
  • Figma Expertise: Proficient in Figma, including Auto Layout, Dev Mode, and design libraries, capable of preparing handoff-ready files.
  • Technical Fundamentals: Strong understanding of responsive design principles and accessibility standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate with clients and facilitate design discussions.
  • Portfolio: A compelling portfolio showcasing shipped product and UI work.
