Key Responsibilities

The Accounting Specialist (A/R) at KREWE is responsible for recording financial transactions such as sales, deposits, expenses, and payments. They build relationships with customers and sales colleagues, manage invoices, outstanding balances, and follow-up on overdue payments.

  • Perform daily deposit reconciliation and assist the Controller with automation.
  • Master the collections process by tracking payment plans and updating account statuses.
  • Ensure accurate vendor invoice entries using a 3-way match.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Communicate policies to colleagues and vendors regarding vendor reviews and payment terms.
  • Prepare weekly vendor payments and perform high-volume data imports.
  • Assist with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis.

Requirements

Applicants must have at least 3 years of accounting experience, a strong grasp of accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software (preferably NetSuite or similar ERP systems), and intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (including pivot tables and data sorting). The candidate must be capable of independent work, managing multiple priorities, and effective communication across departments.
