The Role
As a Software Engineer - Exchange - C++, you will work on trading backend services including the matching engine, market data gateways, internal/external APIs, margin systems, and other trading services. You will develop and maintain core framework components for Kraken’s trading engine, design secure and efficient low-latency applications, and collaborate with global, agile teams.
- Develop and maintain core components for trading engine.
- Design low-latency, high-availability applications.
- Implement risk mitigation and security solutions.
- Write reusable, testable, efficient code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams.
Skills You Should HODL
• 3+ years in modern C++ development on Linux • Familiarity with Python, Rust, SQL • Experience with distributed and highly-concurrent systems • Knowledge of trading systems and financial products • Proficiency in profiling, code optimization, and crypto/blockchain concepts • BS in technical/quantitative field
