The Role
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will work within the Core Infrastructure Engineering team to build and maintain the entire network infrastructure for one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges. This is a strategic position critical to Kraken's success.
Responsibilities
- Implement and evolve enterprise network access controls
- Manage and deploy infrastructure as code at scale
- Design, implement, and defend a zero trust, defense-in-depth network
- Develop policies, procedures, and technical documentation
- Coordinate network security with development and IT Security teams
- Monitor physical and cloud infrastructure for maximum uptime
- Mentor and evangelize security practices across teams
Skills You Should HODL
- 4+ years in network engineering with offensive/defensive security
- Experience with public, private, or hybrid cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google)
- Proficient with network automation tools (Nornir, Napalm, Terraform, Ansible)
- Strong background in network security management and testing tools
- Expertise in network design and administration using platforms like Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba
- Experience in switching, routing, WAN technologies, and network security systems
