The Growth Engineering Team
The Growth Engineering team is responsible for building experiences that connect users to the Kraken ecosystem, driving initial engagement and retention. This includes designing and shipping systems for marketing funnels, signup and KYC flows, and key engagement features that help new users fund accounts and explore products. This team directly influences company growth, global reach, and user engagement at scale, serving millions of users worldwide.
The Role: Growth Engineering Manager
As a Growth Engineering Manager at Kraken, you will lead and develop a cross-functional group of engineers focused on delivering high-impact features, platforms, and tools that power user acquisition, activation, and retention. You will collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to plan, prioritize, and execute initiatives that accelerate growth. Your role ensures the team is aligned, supported, and empowered to deliver simple, reliable solutions at scale.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support a cross-functional team of engineers dedicated to growth-critical systems and features.
- Collaborate daily with Product and Design to define scope, set priorities, and ensure seamless execution.
- Drive project progress by maintaining clear expectations, realistic estimates, and transparent stakeholder communication.
- Provide technical guidance and context for sound architectural and implementation decisions.
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, trust, and continuous learning to enhance team impact and autonomy.
- Improve team processes, communication, and cross-time zone collaboration.
- Partner with other engineering leaders to ensure consistency and best practices within the broader Growth organization.

- Proven experience leading engineering teams and delivering high-quality results in a collaborative setting.

- Solid technical foundation, enabling participation in design discussions and pragmatic trade-offs.
