The Role: Data Governance Engineer
This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, platform operations, and governance enablement on our Data Platform team. You will support foundational capabilities to ensure data is discoverable, well-documented, auditable, and reliable across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support metadata and catalog initiatives, including column-level tagging and documentation.
- Contribute to data lineage and governance practices for audit readiness.
- Maintain Airflow DAGs and support CI/CD workflow improvements.
- Automate reports and dashboards for self-serve analytics.
- Assist internal stakeholders with ad-hoc data questions and process enhancements.
Skills You Should HODL
- 2+ years experience in data governance, engineering, or analytics roles.
- Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and compliance.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for automation and data validation.
- Familiarity with Airflow and workflow orchestration.
- Understanding of data governance tools like Datahub.
