This Senior Data Analyst role is within KPMG's Tax Technology & Innovation team, focusing on analytics solutions for Tax & Legal clients. The team comprises Technology Consultants, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Architects & Engineers, Multi-disciplinary Engineering teams, and IT Service delivery professionals. KPMG Tax & Legal serves thousands of clients, providing modern, market-leading technology solutions for efficient digital experiences in tax advice.

The Tax Technology & Innovation team, consisting of 300+ technologists, is at the forefront of leveraging generative AI to redefine tax determination in the UK and globally, ensuring efficient and accurate tax processes.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be crucial in delivering analytics solutions to clients within KPMG’s Tax & Legal practice. Working with UK-based and India-based data engineers and data analysts, your responsibilities will include:
- Playing a key role in designing and implementing high-quality analytics solutions for internal and external clients.
- Working with teams of analysts to automate ETL and reporting processes using Alteryx and related tools.
- Collaborating with BI Developers to create visualisations that provide valuable insights to clients.
- Coaching and mentoring team members to foster their professional growth.
- Engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
What You Will Need
- Previous experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer.
- Recent experience applying advanced analytics to solve complex business problems.
- Excellent knowledge of Alteryx, with an Alteryx Designer certification being highly desirable.
- Experience manipulating large datasets efficiently.
- Awareness of data visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Experience with SQL Server and/or Azure SQL, including an understanding of SQL programming.
- Strong problem-solving skills, capable of logically analyzing complex requirements, processes, and systems.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with diverse stakeholders.
Amazing Extras
- Experience using the Azure data platform, including Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, SQL Data Warehouse, and Fabric.
- Programming experience in R or Python.
- Experience working with Agile teams, specifically Scrum or the Scaled Agile framework.
- Alteryx Advanced or Expert certifications.
