About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Data & Analytics Specialist to join our team. The primary focus of this role is the development and troubleshooting of Alteryx workflows to support our growing volume and complexity of D&A work. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on Alteryx experience and must hold the Alteryx Designer Core Certification; Advanced Certification is a plus. You will also leverage your Power BI and Excel skills to deliver impactful data visualizations and support business intelligence needs. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, ask clarifying questions, and ensure solutions are aligned with our firm’s data governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, optimize, and troubleshoot Alteryx workflows for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Serve as a D&A subject matter expert, providing guidance and recommendations for best practices and process improvements.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business intelligence needs.
  • Develop and utilize advanced Excel features, including pivot tables, charts, lookups, and macros, to analyze and present data.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to firm and departmental data governance and security standards.
  • Document data flows, processes, and solutions for transparency and knowledge sharing.
  • Perform data validation and testing to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytics outputs.
  • Stay current with best practices and new features in Alteryx, Power BI, Excel, and related analytics technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting Alteryx workflows (Designer), with a strong understanding of ETL concepts.
  • Alteryx Designer Core Certification is required; Advanced Certification is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and visualization techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, charts, lookups (e.g., VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP), and macros.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools (such as Agent Space, ChatGPT, or similar) to analyze, synthesize, and generate insights and datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Experience gathering requirements and communicating effectively with business stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and security best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new business processes and data environments.

  • Experience with SQL or other data querying languages.
