KPMG India is seeking an Analytics and Automation Consultant with 4-6 years of experience to join our team. This role is crucial for understanding requirements, designing, developing, and unit testing code, while taking complete ownership of project delivery.

General Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements, design, develop, and unit test code effectively.
• Take complete ownership of requirements and ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure workflows are thoroughly unit tested before deployment.
• Create and maintain all necessary project artifacts.
• Actively participate in design and other team meetings.
• Engage in cross-training to minimize single points of failure within the team.

Skills

• Expert level proficiency in data transformation using Excel VBA, Alteryx, and Power BI.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong understanding of databases and SQL, with practical experience in PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Expert level knowledge in using Excel VBA and MS-Access.
• Expertise in data loading, parsing, preparation, filtering, and reporting tools.
• Expert level knowledge in building Alteryx Apps using interface tools.
• Ability to develop and implement ETL processes using Alteryx or SSIS tools, visualizations, and SQL queries.
• Extensive knowledge in building and/or reviewing Alteryx Data models/solutions, coupled with a strong understanding of ETL best practices.
• Comfortable working with large datasets from Excel files, flat files, or SQL data tables.
• Understanding of Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools – Power Pivot, Power View, and Power BI.
• Working knowledge of Relational Databases and Data Manipulation.
• In-depth knowledge of various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Hands-on experience in requirement gathering, analyzing, developing, and testing a product/data model/project.

Specific Responsibilities

• Understand high-level requirements from the Global team and collaborate closely with product owners for project planning and budgeting.
• Manage the assignment of specific project responsibilities by coordinating with peers for relevant roles and job functions.
• Interact with clients, conduct requirement analysis, propose solutions, provide estimations, and identify assumptions and risks.
• Create working proof of concepts for projects.
• Proficient in reviewing client/peer-built data models and evaluating their pros and cons.
• Basic exposure to Power BI or similar BI tools is beneficial.
• Good understanding of relational databases.
• Handle large databases (in GBs) with the ability to write, edit, and modify Alteryx Workflows and build reports using Alteryx Reporting.
• Analyze complex data sets to convert them into information that drives business decisions.
• Advocate strongly for data integrity and reporting quality, utilizing best practices and industry standards.
• Experience writing technical documentation and user guides, and providing end-user training and support.
• A driven and accountable self-starter, capable of identifying and communicating priorities, and working independently in a fast-paced, rapidly growing team.

Qualifications
