Original Job Summary

Overview

KPMG Global Services is seeking a DataBricks Consultant with strong expertise in Azure and Big Data technologies. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years work experience).

Responsibilities

  • Provide consulting and client service delivery on Azure.
  • Develop data ingestion, data processing and analytical pipelines for big data and relational databases.
  • Implement data ingestion, ETL and processing using Azure Native services such as ADLS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and more.
  • Deploy solutions using Databricks, Azure Synapse, SQL Server, and other cloud tools.
  • Work with developer tools like Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, and others.
  • Engage in cloud migration processes and DevSecOps CI/CD deployments.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 2+ years consulting or client service delivery experience on Azure.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Azure services and Big Data technologies including Java, Python, SQL, PySpark, and SparkSQL.
  • Experience with both private and public cloud architectures and migration tools.
  • Solid RDBMS experience and familiarity with Big Data file formats and compression techniques.
