Power Platform Developer

We are seeking a dynamic and business-minded Power Platform Developer. This role focuses on developing, supporting, and enhancing applications critical to audit operations. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions using their development expertise. They will own products and engage stakeholders.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and deploy solutions using Microsoft's Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Provide essential support for all audit operations applications, ensuring their reliability, scalability, and security.
- Contribute to the development of key audit operations tools and resources, such as automated reports, letters, and templates; redesigning content management to simplify user navigation; and other audit transformation initiatives.
- Design and integrate custom connectors, APIs, and automation flows for audit and firm processes.
- Develop code using Databricks and Python for advanced processing and analytics.
- Collaborate with firm stakeholders to gather, interpret, and translate requirements into intelligent automation solutions.
- Support the full solution lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to deployment and maintenance.
- Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with enterprise architecture standards.
- Write technical documentation and train users on deployed solutions.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, security, and quality management system review protocols.
- Design feedback mechanisms for new tools to facilitate timely and useful feedback.
This position requires written and spoken fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders from other provinces.
What You Bring to the Role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with business users and technical teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a dynamic environment.
- Experience working within cross-functional teams and in agile development environments.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to take initiative and ownership of outcomes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to self-assess.
- Experience mentoring junior developers; conducting thorough code and solution reviews, adhering to industry best practices.
- Experience implementing application lifecycle management strategies to support robust development processes and ensure solution deployment and maintenance.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Canvas, Model-Driven, Portals).
- Experience integrating Power Apps with custom APIs.
- Proficiency with databases using SQL.
- Experience in application development and troubleshooting within SharePoint Online, particularly with Power Platform integration.
- Proficiency with Dataverse, APIs, connectors, and integration strategies.
- Ability to program with Databricks and Python.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.).
- Familiarity with Alteryx is an asset.
Salary Range – British Columbia
The base salary range for this position in British Columbia is $74,000 to $111,000, with potential for bonuses. Compensation is determined by location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition to compensation, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits program.
