Job Description

Kahua Developer Consultant at KPMG Canada

At KPMG, you'll be part of a diverse and dedicated team of problem-solving professionals with a common goal: transforming perspectives into opportunities for our clients and communities worldwide.

We are seeking a Kahua Developer Consultant to support the design, development, and delivery of Kahua-based construction technology solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, configuring, and maintaining applications that enable our clients to more effectively manage large-scale infrastructure programs.

The ideal candidate possesses hands-on experience developing on the Kahua platform, a strong foundation in application development and integration, and a passion for innovation in capital projects and construction management technologies.

What you will do

  • Develop, configure, and enhance Kahua applications using kBuilder and related tools.
  • Implement integrations between Kahua and other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, planning, document control) via REST APIs and automation frameworks.
  • Participate in design discussions, sprint planning, and code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Perform unit and system testing to validate application functionalities and performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and effectively resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, custom code, and integrations.
  • Collaborate closely with solution architects, functional consultants, and offshore development teams.
  • Stay abreast of Kahua platform updates and contribute ideas for continuous improvement in technical delivery.
  • Stay current with Kahua platform releases and continuously improve solution design.

What you bring to the role

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with the Kahua platform, including kBuilder development and configuration.
  • At least 1 year of experience in software or application development, ideally in construction technology or enterprise systems.
  • Excellent understanding of APIs, data structures, and scripting languages.
  • Experience with RESTful integrations and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools.
  • Knowledge of Agile delivery methods and collaborative development environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with capital project workflows or construction management systems is an asset.
  • Kahua certifications or relevant technical qualifications (e.g., PMP, Agile or Scrum) are considered significant assets.

We are here to support you so you can be your best self
