Part-Time IT and LMS Administrator
Overview
Kotter is seeking a versatile and highly technical Part-Time IT Administrator to serve as the technological backbone of the company. This role oversees the tactical management of internal IT operations, acting as the primary point of contact for internal technology and managing the relationship with our external IT Managed Service Provider (MSP). You will bridge the gap between staff's immediate needs and high-level technical support, handling day-to-day tactical IT needs and providing "boots on the ground" management of physical equipment and hardware setups at our Cambridge HQ when necessary. This role is Remote-US Based with a preference for candidates in WA, MA, DC, NY, IL, TN, TX.
Key IT Responsibilities
- MSP Management: Own the MSP relationship, triaging high-level issues and ensuring accountability for SLAs and strategic deliverables.
- Tier 1 Support: Act as the first line of defense for staff IT issues (password resets, basic troubleshooting) via Slack/Email before escalating complex tickets to the MSP.
- On-Site Hardware Management: Physically provision, set up, and ship laptops (Mac) for new hires and manage asset recovery. Provide on-site support in Cambridge HQ for physical network equipment.
- Platform & Access Administration: Manage access permissions, user accounts, groups, shared drives, and security settings within Google Workspace and the core technology stack.
- Compliance Tasks: Execute routine compliance checklists (e.g., verifying user lists, checking backups) and set up relevant platforms (e.g., VPN).
- Systems Monitoring: Conduct health checks of essential business automations and integrations (e.g., Zapier error logs, HubSpot integrations). Review GAT reports monthly for unusual data activity or dormant accounts.
- Evolving Systems + Platforms: Support the identification, configuration, and adoption of new platforms and systems in partnership with internal experts, vendors, and the MSP.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, CS, Systems Administration, or equivalent practical experience required.
- 3-5 Years of working experience and administration skills with computers, systems, servers, networks, SaaS-based services, and other technical systems.
- Must have experience managing Google Workspace administration.
- Must be familiar with IT security systems, procedures, and policies.
- Preferred experience in a Training Services, Consulting, or Professional Services business model.
- Proven experience with LastPass and physical hardware logistics (Mac imaging and inventory) preferred.
- Experience as the primary IT administrator of a growing company preferred.
- Ability to manage external vendors (MSP), interpret SLAs, and manage escalations.
