Overview

The Program Director at Kopf Consulting leads the strategic design, delivery, and continuous improvement of mission-driven educational and community programs. The role involves overseeing program planning and execution, managing facilitators and staff, and ensuring overall quality and consistency of educational offerings.

Program Vision & Strategy

Define and implement program strategy aligned with organizational goals. Refine program structure, content, and delivery methods to boost participant engagement and impact. Collaborate with facilitators, partners, and designers to ensure inclusivity and outcome orientation. Contribute to showcasing program results and strengthening partnerships. Integrate planning into long-term sustainability including revenue, alumni engagement, and team capacity-building.

Program Delivery & Facilitator Oversight

Plan and manage a calendar of programs, workshops, retreats, and events across in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. Use tools such as Asana, Slack, and Google Workspace for organization. Supervise and support facilitators and coaches with training and performance guidance. Partner with internal teams to manage the participant journey from onboarding to alumni engagement.

Evaluation & Learning

Oversee data collection, tracking, and analysis of participant engagement and outcomes. Strengthen evaluation systems to measure key performance indicators. Lead post-program debriefs and synthesize feedback from all stakeholders. Supervise the Database & Impacts Coordinator in gathering and presenting evaluation data, and apply findings to enhance program development and strategic planning.

Team Leadership

Provide daily supervision and guidance for a growing team of staff and contractors. Offer regular feedback, coaching, and professional development support to ensure alignment and effectiveness. Support long-term team growth through hiring, onboarding, and internal advancement.

Partnership & Resource Stewardship

Manage program budgets and allocate resources responsibly. Collaborate with leadership on funding and partnership opportunities. Represent program needs in grant reporting and cross-department discussions. Monitor industry trends to inform program innovation.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in program leadership or community-based education
  • Ability to manage both strategic direction and daily operations
  • Experience supervising teams and providing coaching
  • Proficient in Asana, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, and similar tools
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and continuous learning
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in adult learning, facilitation, or community program design
  • Familiarity with nonprofit or philanthropic environments
  • Skill in data-driven program improvement
  • Expertise in creating engaging and transformative learning environments

Work Type and Pay

This is a full-time contract role that is primarily remote with significant in-person presence required in Boston. The schedule follows weekday business hours (Eastern Time) with flexibility for live programming. Compensation is between $60–$80/hour, paid bi-weekly or monthly, and includes benefits such as a flexible schedule, professional development stipend, and a supportive team culture.
