About Software Quality Engineer

Die Gesellschaft für innovative Personalwirtschaftssysteme mbH is a leading software provider for public and social employers in Germany. Our product KIDICAP® has been in the market for 40 years and is used as a cloud service by approximately 25,000 organizations. Our modern Web-APP platform covers all areas of Human Capital Management for companies of all sizes. With around 200 employees and continuous growth, we are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our development team immediately.

Organisation & Culture

The Tech & Product Organization consists of nearly 160 employees organized into roughly 15 cross-functional teams responsible for 34 apps. We value clean code, a 'You build it, You run it' mindset, and common ownership. Our approach is agile and pragmatic.

Tech Stack

  • Java (JEE / J2EE / JakartaEE)
  • Frameworks/Middleware: Quarkus, Wildfly, JBoss
  • Database: SQL (Oracle)
  • Testing Tools: JUnit, JMeter, Selenium
  • Other Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, BitBucket

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and further develop the test infrastructure and strategy.
  • Evaluate new methods, tools and frameworks in testing.
  • Support design and implementation of new test cases including integration, functional, load and performance tests.
  • Monitor quality indicators.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other Quality Engineers and the central Test Manager.
  • Utilize agile methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong proficiency in test case analysis and documentation.
  • Experience with automated test frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, Playwright, Arquillian, Cucumber, JMeter, Gatling or similar.
  • Knowledge of Java/JEE/Jakarta is an advantage.
  • Openness to AI-based methods and tools.
  • Excellent team and communication skills.
  • Strong initiative and self-organization.
