Position Details

Title: Site Mechanical Assembler - Nuclear Reports To: Bill Gamble - Site Superintendent/Manager Business Unit: Konecrane Nuclear Equipment and Services, LLC

Principal Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with craft labor crews to complete tasks and solve on-site issues.
  • Receive, unload, stage, and maintain inventory of materials.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications for accurate assembly.
  • Perform quality checks and rework assemblies per updated engineering specifications.
  • Document material defects and maintain site safety by organizing tools and equipment.
  • Assist in rigging activities and communicate effectively with project teams.
  • Maintain company issued equipment and adhere to safety standards and quality procedures.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in welding and fabrication per AWS D1.1 and D14.1.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to work at elevations and flexible with overtime/travel assignments.
  • Experience reading mechanical drawings and BOMs.
  • Understanding of OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, ASME, and other industry codes.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or an associate’s degree is a plus.
  • Five to ten years of assembly experience in material handling equipment.

Additional Information

Travel: Overnight and extended travel required (expected 10-20%).

Salary: $30-$40 per hour.
