We welcome different backgrounds and skills that enrich our community and we promote a place where we can ALL be ourselves. This is what makes Konecranes a unique place to work.
About the Role
The AI Enablement team within our Digital Center of Excellence is seeking an AI Impact Lead. Your mission in this role is to transform scattered AI experiments into tangible, repeatable business value. You will identify high-impact opportunities, validate them quickly, and co-drive their delivery from concept to production, ensuring the organization learns and scales effectively. This is a hands-on strategic position where you will collaborate across business units, IT, data, AI, and corporate functions to align AI capabilities with actual process improvements and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Scout, test, and shape high-impact AI initiatives.
- Identify and refine opportunities across functions and business units.
- Translate business opportunities into executable AI initiatives, defining scope, value hypothesis, success metrics, feasibility constraints, and ownership.
- Conduct rapid tests, lightweight pilots, and early proofs of value to validate opportunities, utilizing low/no-code and modern AI tools like MS 365 Copilot and Claude Code where appropriate.
- Define the requirements for a "serious MVP" – what needs to be proven, integrated, secured, and measurable to justify scaling.
- Co-drive delivery from concepts to MVP and production readiness.
- Collaborate with business owners, IT, data/AI teams, vendors/partners, and other stakeholders on the delivery of selected use cases.
- Address and remove blockers, including data readiness, integration decisions, operating model gaps, unclear ownership, and approval friction.
- Drive AI adoption and practical change at individual, team, and process levels across the organization.
- Assist teams in integrating AI into daily workflows, from personal productivity and team collaboration to specific workflow and process enhancements.
- Facilitate the integration of AI into daily operations and support future-state workflow and process redesign.
- Help stakeholders validate the realization of intended adoption, behavior change, and value in practice.
- Build and iterate on lightweight toolkits, templates, and training materials (e.g., training concepts, feasibility checklists, value framing).
- Capture and codify learnings, promoting shared components and delivery patterns across domains.
- Provide pragmatic, everyday AI advisory, offering guidance and training on the use of generative AI, agents in knowledge work, and practical low/no-code automation.
- Help teams understand what can be explored quickly with lightweight prototypes and approved tools, and when more robust engineering, development, or formal approval is necessary.
Qualifications
You are likely a strong fit if you communicate fluently in English and recognize yourself in most of the following:
- AI + Business Delivery: 5-10 years of experience leading AI/ML initiatives from idea to MVP/production in complex, matrixed organizations; strong business framing skills (value, feasibility, ownership, systems thinking).
- Rapid Experimentation and Piloting: Comfortable with quick testing and piloting using low-code and/or modern AI tools; ability to learn quickly and validate ideas before committing significant resources.
- Cross-functional Communication and Orchestration: Strong communication and delivery skills; proficient in workshop facilitation, decision-making, prioritization, scope control, and dependency management. Comfortable engaging with business, AI/SW teams, data, IT, security/legal/compliance, and vendors.
- Practical AI Understanding: Solid literacy in AI (both generative AI and traditional ML), assistants/agents, and common pitfalls. Ability to reason about build/buy/compose decisions (AI engineering expertise not required).
- Data Understanding for AI: Good grasp of data's role in successful AI initiatives, including availability, quality, structure, ownership, and readiness for various AI use cases. Ability to assess data's impact on outcomes and identify needs for stronger data foundations before scaling.
- Pragmatic Governance Mindset: Understanding that AI experiments vary in speed and require appropriate guardrails, reviews, and production discipline.
Nice to Have:
- Manufacturing/industrial context experience.
- Experience with AI intake funnels.
- Experience developing AI training programs for diverse audiences.
- Evidence of measurable business outcomes (e.g., cycle time, cost-to-serve, quality, OEE, service improvements).
- Fluent Finnish.
Why join Konecranes?
- Innovative Environment: Be part of a forward-thinking company embracing technological transformation and industrial digitalization.
- Global Impact: Contribute to projects significantly impacting global operations and customer experiences.
- Professional Growth: Opportunities for continuous learning and development in the rapidly evolving field of AI.
