About the Role

As a Senior Backend Developer at KOHO, you will join the Platform Team, reporting to a Senior Software Development Manager. Your responsibilities include owning our secure authentication/authorization systems, developing components for our internal library, building POCs, and leading project delivery in a distributed architecture environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Maintain authentication and authorization systems with robust security controls.
  • Develop components for the internal library to support a service-oriented architecture.
  • Build POCs, dashboards, and data-driven decisions for system improvements.
  • Lead medium to large projects and align them with stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaborate across teams and foster a healthy engineering culture.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support cross-functional services.

Who You Are

You hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, have hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures, and are proficient in Go, Python, and SQL. Excellent communication and collaboration in a remote setup are essential.

Nice To Have

  • Experience with authentication/authorization systems like OAuth, JWT, RBAC.
  • Familiarity with Datadog, Temporal, GitHub Actions, and RabbitMQ.
