The Role
We are looking for a bright, analytical, and solutions-driven Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing AMRA BI team at Kobalt Music Group. You will play a key part in transforming how we track, analyse, and report on royalties across AMRA’s global operations.
As a data-oriented and strategic thinker, you will be instrumental in building tools and processes that drive value for AMRA and its clients. This role is perfect for someone experienced with publishing and royalties workflows, ready to step into an end-to-end role in a fast-paced, tech-forward music environment.
What You’ll Do
- Build tools to track royalty collections from overseas societies
- Develop and enhance income tracking systems supporting transparency
- Support Royalty team with processing high-volume statements
- Create dashboards and reports from large datasets
- Collaborate with Technology, Product, and Operations teams
- Utilize SQL and other tools to troubleshoot and optimize workflows
- Deliver business analysis and insights for operational improvements
- Identify and implement technical and operational enhancements
- Provide ad-hoc support for critical, data-driven initiatives
What You’ll Bring
Preferred: Experience in royalties workflows within a music publishing or Collective Management Organisation, strong SQL and advanced Excel skills, exceptional analytical capabilities, capacity to work autonomously, excellent communication in English, and proven project management in tech-led environments.
Nice to Have: Programming or data wrangling (Python, R), understanding of international royalty practices, and experience with BI dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
What Success Looks Like
By Month 3: You will gain a strong grasp of AMRA’s BI tools and contribute to analysis that supports key tracking processes. By Month 6: You will independently deliver improvements to income tracking systems and offer actionable insights. By Year 1: You will lead BI initiatives, drive critical projects, and ensure transparent, accurate reporting in the music industry.
