Position Overview

Based in Arlington with positions open for candidates located in the Washington DC area, the SMB Sales Representative will benefit from inbound leads while also self-generating new opportunities. The role involves running online demos of KnowBe4’s Security Awareness Training Platform and successfully selling its value proposition to small and mid-sized businesses. There is potential for promotion to Mid-Market or Enterprise sales with demonstrated success.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell KnowBe4’s range of products and services.
  • Identify and close net new customers in the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of potential customers.
  • Forecast new business prospects that result in successful client relationships and sales.
  • Develop and qualify new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and high-level prospecting.
  • Articulate the value proposition of KnowBe4’s products.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly quotas and targets.
  • Promote products at trade shows as requested.
  • Follow up on marketing leads to generate new opportunities.
  • Negotiate discounted pricing according to policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions in compliance with company policies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • Proven track record in sales.
  • 1-3 years selling software to Small Medium Enterprises is a plus.
  • Familiarity with IT Security field concepts and practices.
  • Experience with Salesforce and Gmail.
  • Network or Security Plus certification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Stats driven business professional.
  • Motivated, energetic self-starter with strong teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
