Job Description: Engineer, Software Test Automation

As an Engineer, Software Test Automation at KLA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and robustness of KLA's cutting-edge LIS products. This involves full participation in the software development life cycle, from establishing test scenarios to automating them using KLA's advanced test automation frameworks. You will interact with multi-site team members across India, Germany, and Israel for requirement analysis, Software Test Plan (STP) and Software Test Design (STD) preparation, and test execution. Collaboration with hardware, systems, and application groups is key to mapping system requirements to software testing needs. Opportunities for deployment and troubleshooting at customer sites are also part of this dynamic role.

Essential Responsibilities

• Acquire and demonstrate domain knowledge of LIS products.
• Fully participate in the software development life cycle to establish test scenarios and automate them using KLA test automation frameworks.
• Interact with multi-site team members (India, Germany & Israel) for requirement analysis, Software Test Plan (STP) preparation, Software Test Design (STD) preparation, and executing tests.
• Work with hardware, Systems, and Application groups to understand system requirements and map them to software testing needs.
• Participate in deployment/troubleshooting at customer sites.
• Review software design, change specifications, and plans against process requirements.
• Perform or coordinate verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.
• Develop, modify, apply, and maintain standards for quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures.
• Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable quality standards.
• Create tests to identify software problems.
• Analyze bugs and errors found during tests and document results.
• Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with software developers to enhance and improve programs.

Minimum Qualifications

• BE/BS/BTech degree with 1 or more years of SW Testing/Automation experience.
• Thorough knowledge of SDLC and software engineering.
• Extensive experience in Automated software Testing and Manual testing.
• Exceptional attention to details.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to interact and communicate with all levels of staff and project management in both business and technical areas, keeping discussions at the appropriate level of abstraction.
• Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel to Germany, USA, and other customer places on short assignments.
• Experience in developing software or automation scripts in C# or Python (C# is preferred).
• Experience in designing and/or working with different types of Automation test frameworks (FlaUI, MS CodedUI, Appium, Selenium, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Knowledge of KLA specific or general semiconductor domain.
• Experience with large software systems / tool applications is preferred.
