Role Overview
The Director of Impact Philanthropy is a key member of Kiva’s Strategic Partnerships team. This role focuses on expanding strategic partnerships and major giving, cultivating relationships with high- and ultra-high net worth individuals, family foundations, and philanthropic advisors to generate at least $2M in gifts annually.
Relationship Management
- Manage a portfolio of 100-150 high-potential donors.
- Develop and deliver compelling proposals and presentations.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, communications, product, and impact investments teams.
- Maintain accurate donor records and track progress towards fundraising goals.
- Represent Kiva externally with professionalism.
Strategy Development And Execution
- Develop lead generation strategies for major gifts.
- Pursue thought leadership opportunities and engage key advisors.
- Collaborate with the product team to enhance online donor experience.
- Contribute to annual fundraising plans and stewardship strategy.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include a proven track record in major gifts and diversified fundraising, excellent interpersonal skills, and strategic donor pipeline management. The candidate must have 5-7 years of relevant experience in nonprofit fundraising and be comfortable using tools like Salesforce, G-Suite, and Microsoft Office.
Preferred candidates will have experience in international development, a minimum of 8 years’ work experience in a growth-oriented environment, and familiarity with digital marketing and SaaS collaboration tools.
