Part-Time Pharmacist at Kinney Drugs
Kinney Drugs is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Pharmacist to oversee the daily operations of its Pharmacy department. This role involves ensuring the highest quality health care service to customers by implementing and adhering to the Kinney Standard of Practice. The successful candidate will leverage their experience and professional judgment to manage pharmacy functions, mentor staff, and contribute to the overall success of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions and provide patient counseling in strict accordance with the Kinney Standard of Practice.
- Execute all quality assurance steps to ensure precise prescription dispensing and promptly report incidents per company guidelines.
- Adhere to all State and Federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
- Manage the submission, resubmission, and collection of third-party claims.
- Optimize pharmacy inventory for maximum turns while maintaining in-stock availability for customer needs. This includes overseeing orders, processing, and receiving from the Kinney Warehouse and other suppliers.
- Supervise the checking for outdates and processing of all inventory returns.
- Ensure prescription files and other records are maintained in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Maximize the potential of in-store pharmacy technology to ensure return on investment and extended lifespan.
- Champion outstanding customer service among all pharmacy employees.
- Enforce all Loss Prevention policies and report any deviations.
- Aid in the full execution of corporate pharmacy marketing, advertising, and promotional programs.
- Maintain a clean and professional pharmacy environment.
- Cultivate professional relationships with healthcare providers.
- Stay informed on developments in Pharmacy and Health Care Services, integrating new knowledge into practice.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information.
- Facilitate effective communication among professional and pharmacy staff.
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within budget.
- Assist in the training and development of all pharmacy department personnel, including using the Kinney Pharmacy Clerk and Technician Training Program.
- Interface with various auditors and outside agencies as required.
- Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations.
Education and Qualifications
- Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy.
Special Conditions Of Employment

- Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring.
Compensation
This position offers compensation ranging from $65.00 to $74.05 an hour. The final offer will be determined based on relevant skills, years of experience, and education, in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
