About The Team

The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a strategic finance partner to Kinaxis’ Product, Engineering and R&D organizations. The role provides forward-looking financial insight, analysis and performance measurement to support informed decision-making and enable sustainable, profitable growth.

Salary Range

Annual cash compensation ranges from $79,500 to $116,600, plus a discretionary 10% company bonus. The final offer within this range will reflect the successful candidate’s skills and experience.

What you will do

  • Act as a finance partner to assigned technical and product-focused teams, developing a strong understanding of their objectives, operating models, and key performance drivers.
  • Lead quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting activities for supported functions, coordinating inputs across stakeholders and ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Develop, maintain, and refine financial models to assess performance, forecast outcomes, and evaluate scenarios related to headcount, product investment, and operational initiatives.
  • Analyze financial results and KPI performance, identifying trends, variances, and underlying drivers to support informed decision-making.
  • Prepare and deliver management reporting, dashboards, and analysis that clearly communicate actual performance relative to plan and highlight key risks and opportunities.
  • Present financial insights and recommendations to senior and cross-functional stakeholders in a clear, concise, and decision-oriented manner.
  • Contribute to the evolution of FP&A processes, tools, and reporting standards by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility of financial information.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and other enabling teams to support workforce planning and ensure alignment between financial forecasts and organizational objectives.
  • Provide informal leadership within the FP&A team through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and peer collaboration.

What we are looking for

  • Post-secondary degree in accounting, business, or a related field with a CPA or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years’ progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related analytical roles with increasing scope and complexity, preferably within a technology, software, or SaaS environment.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with financial planning and accounting systems such as NetSuite, Planful, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to synthesize complex financial and operational data and translate it into clear, actionable insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and data integrity.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience presenting financial information to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships with senior leaders and cross functional stakeholders and operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Highly adaptable and able to pivot based on prioritization and needs of the business
