What You’ll Be Serving Up

Contributes to KFC US success by managing the development of outstanding restaurant designs for new builds and remodels, brand design reviews, and franchisee support. This role delivers the KFC customer experience and brand positioning while meeting established architectural and brand standards.

Here’s How You’ll Spice Things Up

New Restaurant Project Pipeline Management and Communication – 30%

• Manage new build and conversion projects from registration to design approval.
• Communicate design direction effectively with RFDMs, franchisee teams, and external consultants.
• Track and document projects through the A&D process and update asset information.
• Collaborate with RFDMs on site selection through pre-design assessments.

Remodel Restaurant Project Design Review Management – 50%

• Evaluate design submittals, identify exceptions, and implement design solutions.
• Communicate changes clearly with consultants, Construction Managers, and franchisee teams.
• Manage project tracking through the design lifecycle.
• Act as a multibrand design lead, ensuring all brand standards are met.

Provide Design Visualization and Support – 20%

• Support visuals for A&D playbooks.
• Assist the A&D team with design work across all restaurant formats.

What You Bring to the Table

Education/Certifications: Bachelors Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction or related field. In lieu of a degree, 5-7 years of related experience is acceptable.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years related experience.
• Knowledge of the retail/restaurant design process and ability to read drawings.
• CADD proficiency with Autodesk AutoCad required; Revit experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop).
• Experience managing external architecture, design, and engineering consultants.
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication at all levels.
• Ability to handle multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for job-related conferences and functions.
