Overview
The Systems Administrator role at Keystone Recruitment is a remote, hourly contract position. The role supports enterprise infrastructure and contributes expertise to AI training initiatives by maintaining high-performance, secure computing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer enterprise networks, servers, and computing environments.
- Configure, monitor, and optimize cloud infrastructure and operating systems.
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and support business continuity.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, security, and network issues.
- Implement monitoring solutions to maintain uptime and performance.
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
- Support and validate AI-generated infrastructure scenarios.
- Collaborate with technical teams to improve AI training datasets and workflows.
- Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Hands-on experience with Amazon EC2, ServiceNow, Blackboard software, Apache Kafka, Apache Maven, strong scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Unix Shell), Transact-SQL, and use of monitoring tools like Nagios, Quest Foglight, Wireshark. Deep understanding of Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux along with familiarity with various web and application technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in supporting AI or machine learning infrastructure, cloud or systems certifications (AWS, Microsoft, Red Hat, etc.), and background in automation, DevOps, or infrastructure-as-code initiatives. Experience in documenting technical processes for training is a plus.
