Overview of the Startup Founders Role
Keystone Recruitment is inviting experienced Founders and Early Operators to join a research engagement. Our client is seeking individuals to document and review data systems that they have built or managed at mid-size startups (20–150 people). This unique opportunity involves leveraging your firsthand experience in building, overseeing, or scaling internal data and reporting systems within high-growth startup environments. You will be instrumental in documenting architectural decisions and evaluating how operational data effectively supports critical business decision-making.
Who This Role Is For
- Experienced Founders: Individuals who have successfully built or managed complex internal systems in fast-paced, high-growth startup settings.
- Startup Veterans: A proven track record and prior experience within a high-growth startup environment, specifically with companies ranging from 20 to 150 people, is a prerequisite.
- Domain Agnostic: We prioritize your expertise in architectural complexity and system design over specific industry experience.
- Availability: Candidates must be able to commit to a clearly defined, short-term research engagement.
Engagement Details
This engagement primarily involves the retrospective documentation and technical review of data systems you have previously built or managed. It is a private research effort, and comprehensive technical specifications along with compensation details will be shared following an initial screening process.

- We are exclusively seeking CEOs, Founders, and Ex-Founders for this role.
- You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
- This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to complete work on your own schedule.
- Project durations are flexible and can be extended, shortened, or concluded early based on project needs and individual performance.
